Equity & Inclusion

Dimension 2: Critical

Evaluating OER against the Equity & Inclusion criterion

Critical

OER are critically reviewed, issues are challenged and stereotypes are subverted.

The Equity Rubric for OER Evaluation gives a resource a high rating for Equity & Inclusion if it “implements measures to resolve issues of equity and inclusion and eliminates barriers to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”

The Rubric suggests looking for “explicit statements about equity or inclusion or threats to such.”
